Select is well versed in the means and methods of industrial construction and the correlation to the owners needs to have space be leased at a fast pace. We have experience working in industrial facilities with focus on distribution and material products storage. These facilities require extensive knowledge of Building Utilities and requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) codes. Our knowledge of these systems allows us to make recommendations to the building ownership teams that are financially driven towards the success of the project.
Select partnered with RK Steel to complete a turnkey renovation of their facility headquarters in Henderson, Colo. This project included many challenges for our site operations teams throughout the project. These facility headquarters remained occupied during a multiple phased construction sequence. Phase 1 scope of work included a full TPO overlay of the existing pre-engineered building standing seam metal roof. Proceeding phases included an interior renovation of finishes that accompanied patchwork from existing building water leaks. This project required a high level of communication with RK staff throughout a six-month sequenced schedule.
Kaiser Permanente contracted with Select to complete an interior renovation of an existing industrial warehousing storage facility. This project included revised layouts and scope of work for the interior office and high bay warehouse. The project was under a tight schedule for Kaiser staff transitioning from another facility. The Select self-perform crews completed scopes of work for demolition, concrete, misc. metals, sealants, and specialties.
Select completed this project in 2023, which consisted of exterior site work and renovation of pedestrian walking bridges at the waterpark facility in Aurora. This project was focused on replacing two pedestrian walkway bridges and reworking an existing retaining wall to increase the safety of pedestrians. The scope of work included excavation, site demolition, concrete, steel, and landscaping. Select self-performed work scopes for site demo and concrete forming/pouring/finishing. This project was successfully completed in 2023 allowing the facility to re-open the bridges and site seating areas to their office park tenants.
Rida Development and Marriott Gaylord of the Rockies partnered with Select in 2019 to rework the site drainage area that ties into their employee entry at the northwest corner of their facility. Base building design created icing and ponding at the employee entrance in the winter months of operations. The lack of site drainage was a safety hazard to employees. Select chose Gilbert Contracting to complete excavation and site utility tie-ins for this project, while Select self-performed the remaining scopes of work required. Select was able to safely re-open this employee entry in three weeks.
